Top 5 Important Tips For a Long Vacation

So, you're finally going on a long vacation! There are some things you should do before you go; planning ahead will ensure a safe and memorable trip. Some questions you should ask yourself are: how far are you going to drive every night, how are you going to keep the kids occupied, does your destination hotel accept pets, is the car ready, etc. Now that you're thinking ahead, here are five important tips for a long vacation.

First, have your vehicle checked. Ask your mechanic for an oil change, tire rotate & balance and a mechanical inspection. The mechanic should check: oil & filter, transmission fluid, antifreeze, CV joints (on 4x4's), spare tire, wrench and jack. Check your owner's manual for any information you may need as to tire pressure, how to change a headlight etc.

Second tip, do you have an emergency kit? Some things that should be in it are: jumper cables, a can of tire inflator, flashlight (with good working batteries of course!), gloves, a simple tool kit with screwdrivers, pliers, sockets & driver, spare headlight, fuses & windshield wipers, can of motor oil and some extra antifreeze. If you will be traveling in the winter you should also have a large empty metal coffee can with a candle, chocolate or power bar, tea or coffee bags, and matches (in a zip-lock baggie) in it and a space-age blanket, wool socks and non-clumping kitty litter for traction.

Third tip is to pack appropriately for the weather; is it hotter or colder where you are going on your long vacation? If it's hotter, add to your suit case: sunscreen, lotion, sandals, bathing suit, kids' floaters, and beach towels. If it's colder, add boots & boot socks, mittens & gloves, and hats & scarves.

Fourth tip is a first aid kit. You can buy traveler or vehicle first aid kits. The difference is mostly in their size and container. Traveler kits weigh less, have fewer supplies and are in a compact pouch and vehicle kits weigh more, have a few more supplies and the pouch folds up to fit in the glove compartment or under the seat.

The fifth tip is for if you're travelling with children on a long vacation don't forget to pack some of their favorite things; pillow, blanket, stuffed animal, quiet toys, crayons, coloring books, and pajamas. You'll need some car-friendly snacks; trail mix, honey nut cheerios, raisins, banana chips, pretzels, granola bars etc.

Oh, one more tip...slow down, check out the sights, take a lot of pictures and have a great time!

Erotic Vacations

Okay, so what exactly is an erotic vacation? Well, to put it bluntly, it's a sex vacation. Have you ever heard of swinging? Swinging is married couples that have sex with other people. A lot of people find this morally wrong. It all depends on your point of view.

America is very prudish when it comes to sex. There are very few public places where nudity is allowed, and prostitution is mostly illegal. There are exceptions to this of course; Florida and Nevada come to mind. In Florida there are public beaches where nudity is allowed. And in parts of Nevada, prostitution is legal.

I know that my views on nudity and sex are not the norm in America. I like nude beaches. And I hold the belief that two consenting adults should be able to choose who they have sex with. And as a woman, I get severely annoyed when a man can mow the lawn without his shirt on, but a woman would get arrested for doing the same thing.

If you care to travel to other countries, not only is prostitution legal, but they actually have resorts themed around sex. Yes, there are resorts that you can go to, where you choose the type of girl along with the type of room you want. If you are a couple, you can even choose a bisexual girl. Now that would be one hot, sizzling, vacation!

But what if you don't want to travel out of the United States? Well, the only place I know of in the states where prostitution is legal, is in Nevada. They have legal brothels there, but as far as I know they are only for men, not for women or for couples. Very prudish attitude indeed.

So, in the states we have swing clubs. Nope, this is not the place where you go to practice your golf swing. This is the place where you go to swap partners. A lot of people have what they call open marriages, where they will have sex with someone other than their spouse. The spouse is aware of this, as a matter of fact, they are having sex with someone else also. It is still considered a taboo subject in the states, and a lot of people who practice this do not make it public knowledge, because of that taboo. But, there are entire clubs and organizations built around this concept. These used to be underground, backdoor, types of places. But since it is becoming a more common practice, these types of events are now being held at luxurious hotels.

I don't know how Americans became such sex prudes, probably has to do with our Quaker ancestry. But even in the Bible sex was allowed, and not always between married couples. Just because you are married to someone does not mean that is the only person you can have sex with for the rest of your life, if you and your spouse both agree to this practice. The bad part about having sex with someone who is not your spouse is the cheating part.

It is my opinion that sex is not distasteful. What is distasteful to me, is the need some people have to hide sex. If it weren't for sex, none of us would be here. And no, I don't think sex should be just for procreation, how about just for fun? I also don't think sex should be seedy. How, and with whom, you choose to have sex is your own business, as long as no one is getting hurt, and if your idea of fun sex is different from mine, I am OK with that.
